Development of Punta Colonet Container Port Concession, Mexico, 2006 – 2007

Seaport Consultants Canada Inc. served as technical port consultants on the development of the port, container terminal and railroad concession for Punta Colonet in Baja California, Mexico.

Seaport’s work involved:

  • Review of market projections and financial modeling prepared by lead commercial consultant, Oliver Wyman (formerly Mercer Management Consulting)

  • Advice regarding overall concession process

  • Participation in consultations with potential bidders for the concessions

  • Development of prequalification criteria

  • Preparation of technical sections of concession title agreements for the port and container terminal

  • Preparation of port technical sections of the draft bid documents

  • Development of proposal evaluation criteria
