Design of Rail Inland Terminal, Kutno, Poland, 2008 – 2009

PCC Intermodal is planning to build more inland terminals in central Europe the coming years. In this connection PCC is interested in developing an optimized terminal layout that can be applied in the future terminals. Seaport provided its customer with a standardized approach for delivery of multiple terminals in order to bring down costs, raise quality and shorten the timeframe for development. This work will provide the customer with major benefits in different areas for many years.

Seaport provided various design for

  • Reach stacker operation,

  • Straddle carrier operation,

  • Rubber-tired gantry (RTG) operation, and

  • Wide Span operation

As well as provided design suggestions for

  • Connection to the mail rail line

  • Rail handling area

  • Gate area
