Organizational Review of Port Terminal Company, Canada, 2003

Seaport Consultants Canada Inc. conducted a top-down organizational evaluation to examine the effectiveness of the existing organizational structure and to assess and define the roles and responsibilities of the company’s key operating management and supervision personnel. The objective was to identify how the company could optimize its organizational structure in a way that will achieve the integration and harmonization of operational activities between the various operating sectors and departments. The focus was on achieving clearly-defined delegated powers of authority, seamless communication, and greater accountability and interaction of the management team to improve vessel and terminal operational performance and to enhance customer services.
