Seaport Trends

We are preparing quarterly summaries of container traffic on the West Coast of North America and publishing them because of the massive declines of container trade in late 2008 and most of 2009. The link to the trends publications is:

Seaport Newsletter

From time to time, we will publish reports on current projects or other industry developments we find interesting. These are found in the Seaport Newsletter:

No. 5, August 2006 - Are Scandinavian Ports and Terminals Making Bad Investments?

No. 4, October 2004 - Cost Efficiency and High Productivity Supported by Intelligent IT Systems

No. 3, May 2003 - Transport Modes in US-Mexico Agricultural Trade: Grains and Perishables by Land and Ocean

No. 2, August 1998 - Forecasting Trade for Port Projects in the Developing World.

No. 1, January, 1995 - Private Sector investments in Indonesian Public Ports

Newsletter 1 is largely text, with two small and easily loaded .jpg graphs.   Newsletter 2 has greater graphics content, including .gif graphs of up to about 65k.  The graphics are on separate linked pages, allowing persons with slower systems to access the Newsletter No. 2 text itself relatively quickly.
